Just a Walk

Saturday Aug 16th – After a lazy morning we pulled anchor from the Russell Island shore and set off for Cowichan bay.  Rain and fog gone – all that’s left is an overcast sky that looks like it will burn away soon!

Having never been to Cowichan bay we decided to leave our moorage options open to one of the several possibilities.  After a drive-by past the marinas we settled on Genoa Bay Marina arriving at 11.15am traveling 9.9nm.

All settled in at the docks we heard there was a nice hike with a bluff overlooking Cowichan bay.  It was incredible!  Ava did great up the steep hills and through the dense forest.  But we can’t call it a hike or she freaks out not wanting to go.  It’s just a “walk” in the woods.

Dinner at their restaurant was surprisingly really good and breakfast in the morning at their cabana on the docks was fun for the kids.  Boat full of water, batteries all charged up, and laundry done we were ready for our next destination.
